Amit Basu is a visionary leader in maritime digital transformation, cybersecurity, and IT risk management. As Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at International Seaways (INSW), one of the world’s largest tanker companies, he drives technology initiatives that enhance fleet efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity across IT and OT systems, and ensure operational resilience. By leveraging AI, cloud platforms, and other digital technologies, Amit creates strategic advantages while mitigating evolving cyber and operational risks.
He holds an MBA and an MS in Information Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and advanced credentials including Cybersecurity Risk Management (Harvard), Cybersecurity Oversight (Carnegie Mellon), Maritime Cybersecurity (Lloyd’s Maritime), and Artificial Intelligence (MIT Sloan).
